Introducing Short Menu 2.0
Short Menu 2.0 for Mac is a completely rewritten version of Short Menu. It provides a redesigned interface, performance improvements, new services and a lot more!
Short Menu now has its own service: shrtm.nu. You can currently only use the service with Short Menu for Mac. The iOS version will support shrtm.nu soon. But shrtm.nu is not the only new service. Droplr, CloudApp, goo.gl, dlvr.it, own.li, url9.de, mcaf.ee and to.ly were also added.
We have some good news for all PopClip users: Short Menu 2.0 supports PopClip. Just download the PopClip Extension (scroll down) and install it. If you don't use PopClip, you can use Short Menu's OS X Service (Services > Shorten with Short Menu) to shorten your current selected URL.
With Short Menu 2.0, you can also use multiple accounts of just one service. Simply log in to all your accounts in Short Menu's preferences and activate the account you want to use.
For all OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard users we have some news: Short Menu 2.0 requires OS X 10.7 or higher. We know that that's bad for you, but there are many reasons. For example, the new history is a view-based table view (if you're not a cocoa developer you don't have to understand that), and that requires OS X 10.7. The API Kits for goo.gl and Droplr also require OS X 10.7. We hope you can understand that! We already thought about offering an OS X 10.6 only version here on our website, but we haven't planned anything yet. If we'll do that you'll see it.
We'd appreciate it if you give us feedback on Short Menu 2.0.
